Identifying a Porcelain Doll?

Undress the doll to look for markings. If there arent any, its a safe bet that it is not worth much.

Be sure to look carefully for any markings on the back/neck or back body as I believe this is one of the "real" boy dolls and may be worth more money.

• Without a name or markings it will be like looking for a "needle in a haystack" for lay people like most of ThriftyFun members and might take a doll "expert" to identify your doll.
• I would suggest you ask someone on one of the doll forums as these people may recognize him immediately.
• Be sure to take several pictures and give dimensions (how tall) as well as composition (to the best of your knowledge).
• Try this site as they are usually very helpful. Let us know if you kind a name.

He is really neat! I have never seen one like him and I sold dolls in retail stores for many years!

You can check to see if there is a doll museum near you and take him on a road trip: www.thesprucecrafts.com/doll-museums-around-the-world-775042
