I was given this table and when cleaning, I noticed a latch on the underside. I am just wondering what type of table this is and its possible value.

Did you happen to notice if there was a name or other marks on the table to help identify the table. I am not seeing anything from the photos but a lot of time this can be scratched or engraved in the table or there could be something that is not showing. If you can look for this it would really help. If there is nothing then it makes it even hard to find who has made this table. The only way to do this is through a vintage or antique shop that specializes in these types of table. They would be able to help. But if you can add more information here it would make it easier for me to help you.
