Perm Not Curly?

Perm Not Curly3 days ago I got a perm. The week before I got chop stick curls and loved them, so I decided to go for the perm. I went to the salon for a consultation and showed pictures of what I wanted. Then I went to the salon to get the perm, to say I'm unhappy is an understatement. They used number 2 perming solution and small rollers. It was left on for around 15 to 20 minutes. My hair was in great condition and no medication so unsure what has gone wrong.

My hair has a loose small wavy curl, mostly fuzzy. I've washed my hair and put a deep conditioner on it. I even bought curl spray and nothing is helping. I'm left with this. The salon said they can't do anything and advised me to leave a conditioner on. I'm now left with hair nothing like I asked for and no idea how to fix it. Any advice please.

I would talk to the owner of the salon you have gone to and if they do not fix your hair the way you want it then demand a full refund. You may need to go to another salon to get the help you are seeking.

it sould like this salon is not willing to do anything for you so I would get my money back and go to a salon that is willing to help you out.

It seems the type of perm you are wanting is a very light curl so be sure to follow care directions after your new perm.
I believe it would be a good idea to explain your problem to the new technician before the appointment If you have not done so already.

Inform them before going to the studio so they can make the best judgement about time and so forth instead of being rushed at the last minute when you are already sitting in the chair.

Great thanks for that, I've already sent the new salon all pictures, she has been helping me via messages until she can get me an appointment, just pray that something can be done to correct it.

You would need to go back to that salon, or get a second opinion on how to fix/repair!

Definitely go back and speak to the owner. That is not right and not acceptable what so ever. I hope they help resolve this issue!

I would share the bill from the second salon with the first one and ask them to cover it. A reputable salon would do this or offer a future service for free.

I hope the new salon works out! Post back with an update!

Hi, a similar thing happened to me, I tried so many different hair treatments for about 4 weeks then finally went to another salon. They done a keratin treatment which helped with the frizziness, but my hair is still so dry, I finally went and got a pixie cut to get rid of the damaged hair.

Still have to wait 6 months to cut the rest of my damaged hair out. Dont let them perm on top of what you already have or your hair will break off. Good luck with everything.
