Sometimes this is easy and other times it is impossible. That said, you can check out other answers fro members on this subject.

If you can 'feel' the burn (material is raised) you will most likely not be able to remove this as it has not just scorched the surface but actually burned the Formica.
Maybe start with a dampened Magic Marker but whatever you decide to try always rub lightly and do not put a lot of force behind it. Work slowly and in small spaces at a time. Keep checking and turning the 'eraser' to see if you're making any progress.

No? Some people recommend using a past of baking soda toothpaste - working in the same manner as the 'eraser'.

Another thing to try is a baking soda paste - same way as before.
Others recommend Bar Keeper's Friend, Soft Scrub, plain Dawn dish soap; some of this needs to soak after a soft scrub and wipe away after a few minutes. Some even use find sandpaper but I'm not sure I would try that?

There are some YouTube video's and lots of sites that have good suggestions so maybe one will work for you.

If all else fails and the mark remains unsightly you might make a tile work station over that area or even a cutting board.

You can try a paste made of baking soda and salt in equal parts and enough hydrogen peroxide to make it to an icing like consistently. Spread it on with a toothbrush. Let it sit for up to an hour, gently scrub and wipe.

It is very hard to remove these kind of marks. Hope it is surface and this will at least lighten it. Post back with an update on this!

This can be very difficult to remove if it is really deep. I have gotten a few of them over the years and the best way I found to lighten them up or even get rd of them was using baking soda, salt and some vinegar to make a paste and apply to the mark. I let it sit for a bit then take a soft scrubber and start to rub this in circular motions. Do not try to over scrub this otherwise it will leave a bad mark. The soft scrubber is like a steel wool pad.
