My Toyota sewing machine seems jammed. When I press the pedal it makes noises, but doesn't move.

Check the machine for pieces of thread and/or fabric that may cause it to jam. Make sure it is oiled. Also check the wire to the foot pedal to make sure it isnt loose.
My Toyota 8001 top thread keeps coming off the needle, and if it does not come out, it will not pick the thread from the bobbin
