Separating Two Containers Stuck One Inside the Other?

A steel vessel is stuck inside of a plastic vessel. Please help me how to separate them.

Put in the freezer. They should separate after an hour or so.

Normally hot water will expand the plastic and a freezer will shrink the plastic. I would try to add some hot water to the plastic container to try and expand this.

You can even try to use some steam. The idea is to make the plastic expand and become flexible so you can pull the other container out.
