Someone requested what to use as a heavy cream substitute so thought maybe I should share the tip with everyone.
Take 2 large ripe bananas (sliced), 3 tsp. sugar and 2 egg whites. 'Whip' these ingredients together. You can add extract flavorings, too.

Chill evaporated milk for 12 hours. Add 1 teaspoon lemon juice and whip until stiff. Add 1/2 cup ice-cold water and 1/2 cup non fat dry milk. Add 1/2 cup sugar, slowly, while beating. Then add 2 tablespoons lemon juice and beat until mixed well.

What can I use as a heavy cream substitution that will whip?
I have read in old cookbooks that the following works. Canned Evaporated milk, chilled will whip just like whipping cream. I have never tried it though.
