I adopted this little guy last July and was told he was a long haired Chihuahua mix, but we aren't sure what he is mixed with! Any suggestions?

I see mostly Chihuahua in your little guy!! Have you asked your vet to check out his teeth, jaw, hips and bone structure and give you an idea.

I would think maybe pomeranian (because of the coat color) or a papillon because of the ears!
I worked for a large SPCA Shelter/City/County Animal Agency for 13 years. If this dog was brought in as a stray she would be (depending on staff) a Chihuahua/Papillon Mix, Chihuahua Mix, Terrier Mix etc. It looks young and may indeed be a Long Haired Chihuahua. I have a herd of 3 right now the last the last cute little puppy with big ears I was sure would stay small is over 20 pounds now.

Im thinking some kind of terrier mix. He looks just like my Lola who is terrier and chihuahua mix.
I sent in to get Dna, mine 50% chi and 25%poodle, and 12 yorkie and 12% other...

The short coat on his body could indicate that he is mixed with some type of terrier or possibly with a short-haired Chihuahua. One thing is certain, he is adorable.

Long haired 'pom chi' Pomeranian chihuahua. I'll add a pic of cocoa!!! I have had my baby for 8 or @ year looks identical minus the long hair around ear and such. I did see her mom and dad so I k ow mine is a pomchi and he looking identical to your cutie! Promise problem solved!!! Enjoy you baby very loyal , jealous and protective breed!
