What Breed is my Dog?

A black dog with a white chest patch and long ears.I'm having trouble figuring out what my dog breed is. I've had her since she was 2 months old. She was a gift from a friend. He had said she was mixed with German and Rottweiler. Do youall agree? Or think she's mixed with something else?

I agree! The German Shepherd in her seems to be the strongest gene , with the shorter body style of the Rottweiler. I love the beautiful strong jaw line she has. And to top it off , her tall Shepherd ears. Here is some info on both breeds - www.akc.org/.../ and - en.wikipedia.org/.../german_shepherd - Either way she's beautiful!

Hi!

What a beautiful baby! I can see German Shepherd in her stance, her nose and her ears! She is so adorable!

I'm sorry but her feet are so small to be either a German Shepard or even a Rottweiler. I had a dog that was mixed and my dog had the coloring of the Shepard and the sad eyes of the Rottweiler. I have to say if she has any of these two dogs in her it is very little for sure.

Her ears are even very large for these two breeds of dogs. In her face, I do see some Rolttweiler but the size of her body is more like a terrier.

Loking at the nose and the size of your dog's feet, I think your dog definitely has German Shepherd in it but rather than Rottweiler, I think its mixed with either a Lab or Golden retreiver. The photos at thehappypuppysite.com/.../#:~:text=21%20Of%20The%20Most%20Popular... might help you decide what your type of dogs make up your dog's bloodline.

What a sweet pup!! I love her face!!

I see much more www.akc.org/.../

(malinois) in her than anything. Maybe a little bit of a terrier with those narrow feet.

She could have shepherd, but it is a splash. I see not rottie at all, but only a DNA test will tell and they are expensive and confusing and if you took several you would get several answers (meaning they are not all accurate).

Ask the vet to weigh in by looking at what I can't see which is the teeth and bones. What a sweetie!! Wishing you many, many happy adventures!

I believe your little girl may be (at least partly) an unusual breed.
I saw this picture and just knew that I had seen a dog just like this only a few days ago. I have found a link to a previous question concerning a similar dog so check out this message.

I believe your dog is very similar but she may have another breed mixed in.
You do not say how old she is or anything about her size or weight so there's not a lot to go on. it is always best to show a full picture of a pet as the body size and tail have a lot of indications about the breed.
She looks a lot like one of these. Shepherd & Pharaoh
German Shepard/Pharaoh

Beautiful dog.
The only way to know for sure is with a DNA test and these kits are sold online, pet stores and vets. The cost usually starts at about $45 and goes up as you ask for more complete details.
Ask your vet about her mix when you take her in for her shots/vaccinations.

Thanks for the additional information.
She is a beautiful dog and you're probably right about her growth maybe being 'finished'.
Nice name also.

Please be sure she is protected from bad diseases and sees her vet for all shots.

I agree with cybergrannie that this looks like a pariah dog or a pariah mix. Very pretty dog.
