Curtain Color Advice?

Curtain Color AdviceI'll be moving into a new apartment soon and I'm in desperate need of advice regarding curtains for 3 rooms. The whole place has wall-to-wall carpet that is grey-blue. It looks more grey on the pics than it it - the most accurate pic is the darker one.

My furniture is modern, most of it is white, including my sofa. My dinner table is made of teak.

The living room has walls that are white/off white. I will replace the horrendous vertical blinds on the sliding doors, and the current purple curtains.

In the office (small window) and bedroom (sliding doors) the walls are tan (yuck). My bed's linens are shades of light blue, turquoise.

I will reuse the vertical blind hardware as I'm renting and can't remove it or add curtain rods. I need a bit of privacy in the bedroom, but not that much as it is a second floor. It's mostly to make the rooms prettier.

I want something that pops a little color in there, as it looks a bit cold. The current purple curtains are too dull. I'm usually drawn to blues and turquoise (cold), or hot pink and orange (warm) - think Indian colors. I don't like yellow much unless it's not the dominant color.

Thank you so much for your help!

I would choose a print of the colors you like. It will really liven up the room.

Curtains

Step 1
You defiantly need to brighten the place up a bit.

Step 2
Unless you want just a plain one shade of color I would go with some thing bright. Green is a nice cool color, Pink if you want to be girlish, Blue would help brighten up the color in the rugs.

Step 3
But if you want to be daring then go with a swirl of colors, multi colors of green in different shades, or blues, or rose, or lavender.

Step 4
If you have a favorite color, then by all means go with it.

Step 5
Enjoy your new apartment.
