Quickly mixed and ready for baking in about 20 minutes. Served warm with a big scoop of vanilla ice-cream, it's the perfect dessert for a family Sunday dinner. Easiest way I know to put a smile on everyone's face.

  • 1 pkg. Duncan Hines Deluxe yellow cake mix
  • 1 can peach pie filling
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, softened
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, combine dry cake mix, pie filling, eggs, 1/2 tsp. extract and nuts. Blend at low speed until completely moistened, about 1 minute. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Spread batter in a greased and floured 13x9x2 pan.

Topping: In a medium bowl combine the sugar, flour, butter and 1/2 tsp. extract with a fork or pastry blender. Mixture will be crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over batter. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 to 45 minutes until center springs back.

Servings: 8-10 generous
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 40-45 minutes

Arrange peaches in a buttered 13x9-inch baking dish. Combine strawberry, peach gelatin in a small bowl. Sprinkle about 3/4 of the mixture evenly over peaches and dot with butter. Prepare cake mix as directed on package.

I lost a cake recipe that used an orange cake mix, peach pie filling and maybe sour cream. Does anyone have this recipe and be willing to share it with me?

Hi Nancy! I found this recipe on the following site:

1 Box orange cake mix
1 Can Peach Pie filling
1/2 cup sour cream
2 large eggs

Mix all well and pour into an ungrease 9X13 pan. Bake at 350 for 40 - 45 minutes.

Remove from oven and pour over the following glaze: 2cups powdered sugar 1/4 cup orange juice.

Mix until smooth. Pour over hot cake.

Let cool before serving

This does, indeed, sound good.
