When I was a little girl the lady that lived with us, to watch over my brother and I, used to make this for us for breakfast and it was so yummy! Once in your bowl, you can add a little bit of milk if you want. We liked this so much more than cold cereal or oatmeal and the raisins give it a natural sweet flavor!

Ingredients:

Directions:

Cook rice according to package instructions but stir in the raisins before cooking. It's that simple

Source: I suppose you could call her a Nanny but my brother and I considered her a mom. Her name was Edith May Moore and I still think of her often even though it's been forty two years since we've seen her.

Easy and so good.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag chopped broccoli
  • 2 cup Minute Rice
  • 2 cans of cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 1 8 oz jar of Cheese Whiz

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a greased crockpot. Stir then cover. Cook in crockpot until rice is soft. I usually cook on high for 1 hour then low for about another 2 hours. Usually after trying this, everyone wants the recipe. We love it. I make it for special dinners. So tasty and easy to make.
