Training a Husky German Shepherd Puppy?

I was just wondering if anyone can give me some tips about training my puppy she is 7 months old and from what I have heard she has had at least 4 owners already. She is a Husky German Shepherd cross.

I've had a Staffy Bull cross Pit Bull before and she was very stubborn to train, but after 3 years of constant training I managed to get her there. I mean that dog was very hard to train and chewing things. I don't think that many people have returned home to find their waste pipe from their toilet ripped out twice along with the rest of my house.

The point I'm trying to make is I persisted because I believe strongly a dog is for life. With this dog she was slightly trained, but she is trying to establish who is alpha at the moment and will take a bit of prompting before she sits. I am also using a clicker with training and have introduced a nose harness for walking due to her being a puller. The only difference I have come across so far is the grooming as this is my first long haired dog. We have wire brushes and grooming gloves. She gets brushed every day, but has anyone found any products better than others?

You have a hyper dog who is high energy. The dog needs lots of space outdoors to work out that energy to bring calmness when indoors. Only when the dog is calmer can training begin. I once owned a pup that chewed on everything it shouldn't; keyboard cord on computer, shoes, socks, and dog toys never lasted long with him. Then he settled down when we got a second dog and they played well together and the chewing stopped.

They took walks together with us and had bonded well. Your dog may be lonely when you are not home and feeling stressed out. Provide more physical activities in the dog's daily life and a playmate. This dog does not like being left alone, nor can it be trusted until bad habits cease.

If it were my dog, I would head to the library and find a video or book on training them. Different breeds can respond differently.
