I have 2 dolls, Cathy collection 1-5000. What are they worth?
You have 2 Cathay Collection dolls.
These dolls could be described as 'bridal and perhaps Victorian'.
Used/Preowned - no box - no COA.
Size??
Almost all Cathay Collection dolls have the same numbers: 1-5,000 and it just means each doll is 1 in 5,000 produced.
These dolls are mass-produced and the market is flooded with all brands of similar dolls. This means very few will be valuable and most will sell for under $25, if they sell. Sellers post dolls for sale and some stay listed for months/years and some will never sell.
Examples:
Check this brand doll on eBay to see how many are listed and what sellers are asking for their dolls.
www.ebay.com/
Then check eBay's sold listings to see how many have actually sold in the past several months and check what people are really paying for dolls - sold items equate value.
Large dolls - over 20" usually sell for money and may sell faster.
Specialty dolls may also sell for a few more dollars.
www.ebay.com/
I would estimate your 2 dolls would be valued at less $20-$25 each or maybe $35-$40 for both.
How long will it take to sell your dolls?
Weeks/months/years - any number would be pure guesswork.
Google always has a lot of dolls to research for identifying dolls as well as asking prices.
Can you please tell me if any of the native dolls are of any value?
It looks like you may have the smaller, Cathay Collection, 8 inch one. She sells on eBay (sold not asking) between 10 and 20 dollars + shipping. The higher amounts are usually for the ones that have the box and COA and are pristine.
The larger one (16 inch) sells (sold not asking) between 15 and 30 dollars + shipping. Again, the higher amounts are for the ones that pristine in the box with COA. The lower prices are for unboxed, no COA. Usually if they are other than pristine they don't sell.
Things that affect value are missing boxes, missing certificate of authenticity (COA), beads missing, hair that is mussed, and any smells or odors. If the doll even has a whiff of odor it will not sell.
If you sell online, you must double box her to protect her. She is very fragile and will arrive on the other end in a million pieces if she is not packed right. If you can sell her through an in person venue, that is best!
Post back how your sale goes! Thanks for sharing.
I have a Cathay Collection porcelain doll 20995. What is this worth? It is still in box, wrapped up, and in good condition.
Dolls of any brand/size/etc are not selling for very much money so even if your doll is new in the box, the value will probably be very low.
Current value is determined by the selling price of an identical item as it shows what someone was willing to pay for that item.
The average price that dolls like this are selling for is usually between $5-$25 plus shipping but the other problem is how long it may take to sell any doll and that could be months to years.
You may occasionally see larger/taller dolls selling for more money but still slow sellers.
I think these are limited edition Cathay Collection dolls. Anyone know what they are worth or where I can find that info out? Great condition. No boxes or paperwork?
All of these dolls are mass-produced and their value is very low.
There are thousands of similar dolls listed for sale online, and that means it is a buyer's market.
Your dolls may be valued at $15-$35 but sales are slow.

I have a Cathay Collection porcelain doll since I was a little girl. It has 8521 also on the back of her head.
She sits on a swing. Can anyone help me with the value of this doll?Cathay Collection porcelain dolls are mass produced and, unfortunately, the majority of these dolls have very low value.
Along with the low value, dolls of this type are so plentiful, they are a very slow-selling item.
There has only been one Cathay doll on a swing sold on eBay over the past several months. Sold for $20.

You can check Google for similar dolls listed for sale but these are asking prices and only a sold item will show what someone was willing to pay for that item.

I have this Cathay porcelain doll that I have not been able to find online. I have the box, doll, and certificate. I am trying to find the value of this doll.
On the back of the box is a number: 18693. How can I find what this doll is worth? These are mass produced dolls. They are worth $25 only if never taken out of the box, and much less if they were.
I received a Cathay Collection porcelain doll when my grandmother passed away. It's number 1400 of the 1-5000 collection.
There is an engraving on the neck that has the letters NISI. Just curious to know how much it may be worth. Can you tell me her size? Is she 16 inches? Is the hair red or blonde? Also, do you know her name...meaning is she one of the fairy series...box, papers, certificate of authenticity?
There are lots of similar dolls but I would need the additional info to give you a good estimate. As a series of 5,000 while limited, there is often more supply than demand which drives prices down. Some still have high demand, which keeps prices up. Just wanted to be sure I am getting you an apples to apples estimate.
Also, was she played with? Original clothes? Does she have any flaws? Condition matters a lot with dolls. I would like to help with more info!
This is a mass-produced doll. There are 5000 of them. It is worth $25 or even less.
I no longer have a space to put this girl and am looking to sell her. I have found nothing about her anywhere. There is only her and the hat. There is a 1 out of 5000 stamp on the back of her neck.
On the back of her head there is a set of numbers, 85091B/4. If anyone can help me out, it would be appreciated.I have submitted photos of my doll. I can't find her on any sites. Can you help? 1-5000
This is a mass-produced doll. She is one of 5000. She is worth $25 or less.
I have a late 90s or early 2000 large Royal Cathay porcelain doll #1004 named Greg. It was never removed from the box.
I just opened the top lid for the certificate. What is he worth? Please.:)
He is currently selling at eBay for $22.00 + shipping. There was one example sold at this price:
www.ebay.com/
There are several unsold at $30 plus shipping. So his current market value is $22 + shipping, so roughly $30.
If you do sell him on eBay be aware that the USPS shipping rules are changing soon and box size can make the shipping costs triple.
I suggest that you take photos, then box him up very well, with as much padding as possible to protect him, weigh and measure the box, use eBays advanced seller tool so you can enter the exact box weights and dimensions and then list him (the new shipping thing is called DIM or dimension costs).
If you try to sell him through Facebook marketplace or LetGo or Nextdoor.com you will not get as much as if you sell him online.
Since people nickel dime prices on the local sites.
Post back if you sell him.
Blessings!
This one is asking $69.99 www.ebay.com/
He is cute..
As a general rule, boy dolls sell a little faster than girl dolls, probably because there are fewer boy dolls produced and less listed for sale.
Pghgirl gave very good advice about listing on eBay as new and inexperienced sellers many times make costly mistakes and can even sell an item and make no profit.
Even with a fair price you will probably not clear more than $20 on your doll so think about that before you go to the trouble to list him as shipping is a big problem when shipping breakable items. A large percentage are broken and insurance is almost a joke.
Listing on local sites can be bothersome as Pghgirl stated but my daughter sells and she generally does not have problems as she gives a firm price and tells everyone beforehand - that's the price and do not expect it to change.
I have a Cathay collection native doll number 233I. I want to know if my doll is worth anything.
I have a Royal Cathay Doll. She is 12 inches tall has brunette hair, brown eyes, and plays a tune when her tummy is mashed. It has 1358-5000 on the back. I do not know anything about it. I was hoping you could shed some light on her.
This doll is one of 5000. It has decreased in value and is worth $25 or less.
Hello! She is cute!!
Can you please post a photo to show her markings? I don't remember Cathay dolls being this small (usually they were 21 inches). Now I am not an expert as I have not seen every doll they have ever made. It is possible that is exactly what she is and the store I worked in just didn't stock the smaller dolls, but I want to be sure I am giving you good info.
I do remember them making musical dolls, but they did not look like this one.
Do you know what tune she plays also?
I hope I can give you more info, with a little more info on her!
Thanks for sharing her!
I have the Cathy Collection porcelain doll. She is 1 of 5000; I have number 104. It is practically brand-new and I am wondering what it is worth?
These dolls are mass-produced, and the regular-sized ones are $25 or less. A large doll could get $50.
Check on eBay and see if there is a doll "Cathy Collection" listed for sale , this I believe is a mass production and I doubt if it is worth more than $30 to $50 . eBay is the worlds larges seller of dolls, you can get a general idea.
Hi, is she a Cathay Collection Doll or Cathy? I am not familiar with the latter.
The Cathay dolls are sadly one of the brands that have not held their value. I can't find an exact match to the look. Is she a "tall doll"?
I can tell you generally, most dolls of this brand sit unsold on eBay for months in the $5-10 range. Some of the tall dolls sell, but usually for less than $15.
I wish I had better news for you.
Blessings!
I recently was picked to take all of the porcelain dolls I wanted from a family gathering. I do have several I'm looking to get a value on.
Could you help me with a value quote on this beautiful girl?I appreciate your time!
I have a Cathay Collection doll. I don't know how old it is. I wanted to see what it is worth. The stamp on her neck says, Cathy Collection 1-2500.
I'm attaching some photos too. Thanks for your help!
The doll has never been out of box. It says 0012 -5000. The name is Davinder. I also have 2 more named Gracielia.
They are in boxes and have never been unwrapped. I would like to know their value.
