Cabbage is really good roasted with olive oil, lemon juice, and a little
Worcestershire sauce.

Total Time: 35 minutes

  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbsp bacon bits, optional
  • 1 Cabbage quartered

  1. Take a square of aluminum foil and put one of the four pieces of cabbage into the aluminum foil square, and then drizzle the oil over the cabbage.
  2. Toss the other ingredients over it, and then close the square over each quarter of cabbage. You just fold over the sides of the foil and scrunch it closed.
  3. Put the foil wrapped cabbages on a baking sheet and put in the oven. Cook at 425 degrees F for 20 to 30 minutes and serve.

I so love these "Hobo" type meals! When food cooks like this, flavors all blend together.

This was something I made one day I had some old vegetables lying around. It can taste good and be completely fat free. You can add butter or coconut oil. It can be festive-looking.

Cook Time: 35

  • 1 whole cabbage (red or green)
  • 2 apples
  • 6 potatoes
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 stick butter (optional)
  • 3 Tbsp salt
  • 3 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 3 Tbsp pepper
  • 3 Tbsp turmeric

  1. Cut up potatoes and apples in very small wedges. Add to baking pan, layered, with butter and salt. When finished, cover with foil.

  3. Cut cabbage into a giant flower and put in a different, larger oven pan.
  4. Put tomato in the middle. Season with butter and spices. Add apple wedges in between cabbage wedges.
  5. Put in oven for at least 35 minutes. Enough to where outsides are crispy and cabbages and potatoes are fully cooked.
