Brown the hamburger and drain. Mix with taco seasoning according to package directions. Place in large bowl. Put chopped lettuce, diced onions, chopped tomatoes, corn chips, and the 2 cans of drained kidney beans in the bowl. Toss all the ingredients together.
Pour French dressing over top and toss everything together again. So yummy and easy to make. You can also add black olives if you like. It is always a big hit at family gatherings.
If you are taking this to church dinner, put the hamburger on bottom and all the ingredients in bowl. Put lettuce on top. When you get there, add the corn chips and french dressing, and toss. It will not get soggy this way.

This is my oldest sister's recipe. She has been making taco salad this way for as long as I can remember. I have been making it for my family ever since.
A great take along salad, very kid friendly!
Brown ground beef, drain fat and cool. Cut up lettuce, tomatoes, onion and put in fairly large bowl and add cheese. Mix Miracle Whip and taco seasoning in big bowl with the lettuce, onion, tomato.
This is easy to make and kids love it so much. Wash lettuce and dry it well or let it drip dry. Next, fry your ground beef, grate cheese, and chop green onions, using all but the roots.
A salad of lettuce, tomato and onion topped with seasoned cooked hamburger and dressing.
This is a great meal for a hot summer day or evening. Very filling and good!
Cut up lettuce. Cut tomatoes into bite size pieces. Chop onion and shred cheese. Mix together all ingredients; add dressing and serve.
Mix together all ingredients, except chips. Crunch chips on plate and top with salad. Top salad with optional ingredients, such as sour cream, picante sauce or salsa or Ranch-style dressing. You can also use ground beef instead of chicken.
A delicious, filling main dish salad that doesn't take long to prepare.
In large nonstick skillet, cook and stir beef over medium high heat until browned; pour off drippings. Stir in beans, 1/2 cup of the salad dressing, chili powder, onion flakes and salt. Cover; reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes.
Chili Con Carne Taco Salad (Salad With Beans). Place chili into salad bowl. Crumble about 6 chips, placing into salad. Take 1 1/2 Tbsp. sour cream into salad. Add 2 tsp. salsa. Mix gently.
