This is hands down the best recipe I've tried in months!

Ingredients:

Directions:

In small saucepan over medium heat, stir butter with honey and sugar until butter melts. Remove from heat. Add soy sauce, mustard, oil, and garlic; mix well and let cool.

Remove bones from fish. Rinse and pat fish dry with paper towels. Put fish into a greased pan. Spoon sauce over and marinate for one hour. Put the whole pan in the oven and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees F.

This salmon is baked in the oven and served with a delicious sauce made with chili, honey, soy, ginger, and garlic. I love it on top a bed of warm rice.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 salmon fillet, about .75 to 1 pound
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp chili paste or chili sauce
  • 2 tsp honey

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 F. Sprinkle salmon with some salt and pepper. Lay on a lightly greased baking sheet. Full baking time will be 15 to 20 minutes.
  2. While the fish starts cooking, in a saucepan, stir together soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Bring just to a boil.
  3. Switch heat to low then add chili and honey.
  4. When fish hits about the 10 minute mark of cooking, remove from oven and spoon over 1/3 of the sauce. Return sauce to low heat, stirring often, until sauce thickens.
  5. When fish is done baking, transfer to serving dish and spoon the rest of the thickened sauce on top.
