Why buy packaging boxes for money? Instead of throwing away packaging boxes (such as cereal boxes, cake boxes or any box that is clean on inside), I save them for use in gift wrapping any items that need boxes.

Make Gift Tags Out of Junk Mail
Make gift tags out of junk mail! What a good way to save $ and have an afternoon of fun with the kids. First save some colorful junk mail mailings and envelopes with plastic windows on the back.

Gift Bags Instead of Wrapping Paper

Secure Ribbon on Spools With Rubber Bands
Instead of using tape or pins to keep you rolls of ribbon from unwinding, I found that rubber bands are easier, quicker and leave no holes or stickiness on the ribbon.
