Reusing Paper Towel Tubes
We just went through getting painted (what a job) three bedrooms, two and one half baths, kitchen, etc. We used an enormous amount of Bounty towels in the clean-up process. For some reason I saved all the tubes off the towels, why I don't know.

Conserving Water in the Garden

Turn Mail Order Catalogs into Memory Books
I like to keep very well bound mail order catalogs. At the end of the year, I will take the best art work of my children for each month of the year, and attach them to the pages of the catalog.

Reuse Plastic Cat Litter Bags as Tomato Planters
The new tomato plants were out today, and I couldn't resist, thinking surely, I had some large planters at my apartment. You guessed it, no planters, but I do have a cat. Fortunately for me, I had several of the "plastic" bags from cat sand in the recycle bins.

Recycled Kitchen Utensil Holder
I used Juicy Juice cans to hold my kitchen utensils. I put them in a wire basket that I found for 50 cents, added the magnets and, bingo, a multipurpose rack.

Craft: Welcome Sign Made From Branches
I am big on nature. I took one long branch, a shorter branch, scrap wood, and made a welcome sign. I screwed the branches together. I put a screw(or nail) in top of the sign, wrapped copper wire around top screws.
