I have furniture, dishes, etc. inherited from my father and grandparents. How do I get the built up over 50 years of thick, sticky, brown smoke, and dust residue off of everything without hurting them? I am especially concerned for the antique furniture?
I have a handmade wool throw rug. It hasn't been cleaned in years. It has been down in a basement. Would it be OK if I took to laundromat and washed it in one of the big machines on cold and delicate and used Woolite and Downey?
How do you clean heat ducts? I sanded down our hardwood floors, now the house gets dusty quickly. I think that in spite of sealing the ducts up, some sanding dust got in the duct work. We priced having them cleaned, but it was over $500.00.
My 18 month old recently managed to take a ballpoint pen to bed with her and draw all over a borrowed white Bubaroo sleeping bag and all over her sheets! I took it to the dry cleaners and they sprayed it with this clear liquid which smelled just like Windex
I had dye fade from my jeans onto my signature Coach purse. How can I clean that off? It's not leather and my husband never registered it when he purchased it. It's my first one and I don't want to get rid of it.
